Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2019 is taking place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May and we'd love for you to challenge yourself to run one of the many races taking place and at the same time, raise money for Strathcarron Hospice.

Established in 2003, Edinburgh Marathon Festival is Scotland's largest mass participation running event, with over 35,000 runners and 100,000 spectators enjoying nine different race distances over two days. From the 5k, held in the stunning Holyrood Park, to one of the UK's fastest marathons, there's something for everyone.

Sign up today and ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you to take part and help Strathcarron Hospice to provide specialist care, love and support completely free of charge for our patients and their families. You could even challenge your friends or colleagues to join you and enter as a Relay team.

General Entry is now closed so the only way to enter these events is through a charity place. If you would like to apply for a Strathcarron Charity Place please be aware that terms and conditions apply, which includes a minimum fundraising target (this varies depending on the event you take part in):

To run the full Marathon or enter a team in the Relay we ask runners to raise £624 sponsorship per participant or team which would cover the cost of caring for one patient at home in their last two weeks of life.
To run the Half Marathon, we ask participants to raise £312 sponsorship. The 10K target is £150 sponsorship per participant and the 5k is £96 sponsorship per participant.
