Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Band 7:  £37,570 - £44688 per annum, pro rata

As we seek to develop the shape of our workforce, we are looking for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about demonstrating nursing at its best and making a difference to people with life limiting illness and their families right up to the end of life.

Working initially in the In-Patient Unit and also supporting day and community services where required you will have a unique contribution to make to the care and support provided by Strathcarron Hospice. 

You must be a highly motivated, compassionate, clinically experienced RGN, have some experience in hospice /palliative care and hold a Master’s degree ideally relevant to the specialty.  You will need to have a sound clinical knowledge and highly developed clinical decision-making skills. All applicants should possess the ability to be flexible, prioritise fluctuating workloads, remain focused, work across a variety of teams and be able to lead / implement change. 

The ANP will participate in the IPU out of hours on-call rota, which provides telephone support and advice as well as attendance at the IPU if required. There is therefore a requirement to be able to attend the IPU when required within maximum of 45 minutes. Second on-call advice is always available.

 The post is subject to a check by the Protecting Vulnerable Group Scheme.
