New Partnership with Local Landscape Photographer

Strathcarron Hospice has teamed up with award-winning, local landscape photographer Sean Kerr in a new partnership that will see the Hospice benefit from a range of fundraising activities.

Sean, who has personal experience of hospice care, has committed to supporting Strathcarron where he can by kindly donating 20% from the sale of selected prints; offering his time free of charge for photography of the Hospice and its grounds; and donating prints for us to use at fundraising events and auctions. Since becoming an official partner of Strathcarron, Sean's generosity has already helped to cover the cost of one day of care for a patient, making a difference not only to them, but to their loved ones too.

“I'm absolutely delighted to be helping Strathcarron Hospice. They do incredibly valuable work to help people in our community to live with their illness and make the most of the time that they have, and to provide support to their loved ones at a time of great anxiety and grief. This is something very close to my heart; my mother spent the last few weeks of her life in a hospice before she passed away in 2012 and the difference that the hospice made to her physical comfort and mental wellbeing was transformational. I was also so grateful for the emotional support that they gave to me personally and to other members of our family at that time. Strathcarron Hospice is a charity. They need charitable support to operate and I feel proud to have the opportunity to play my small part in that.”

A number of Sean's cards and prints showcasing the beautiful Scottish landscape can be purchased at Strathcarron Hospice, the sale of which will actively help to support terminally ill people and their families throughout Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth.
