Claire is a working mother of two and has a busy life, living well with her Lymphoedema. She comes in to Strathcarron Hospice for intensive treatment 2-3 times a year. Although Claire didn’t want her face to be featured, she’s keen to raise awareness of Lymphoedema and how it can be successfully treated; you can continue to live a full and active life. Read more

Marie's Story

Marie, a dedicated supporter of Strathcarron Hospice, embraced the challenge of cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia in 2023. Since then, she has signed up for the Cycle Thailand Challenge this November and plans to tackle The Lapland Husky Trail next year, all to raise funds for our Hospice. When living day to day with a life limiting condition, many people and their loved ones report feelings of anxiety, stress and tension. It's often described as a ‘constant chatter in the head which is difficult to control’. Mindfulness is something you can practice yourself and there’s an increasing amount of research into the benefits of its practice. Read more
