Community Advice and Listening Line There are friendly volunteers available from 9am until 7pm every day to have a chat with anyone who needs support or is fed up of the boredom, loneliness and isolation caused by COVID 19. They have lots of ideas to help you through this difficult period, but most importantly they have time to listen and to chat. Many of our phone volunteers are themselves shielding from the virus. They can’t do their usual volunteering roles like working in the hospice shops, or pot washing in the hospice kitchen. They are delighted to be able to offer their time to listen and chat. Many of the volunteers have themselves been carers and know first-hand what a difficult job that can be, even without the pandemic. You don’t need to have any connection to the hospice – please just lift the phone and give us a call on 01324 827383.
