Tom Chambers When we lost our Mum (Jean Chambers) to cancer on the 9th March 2018, she was able to get her wish of being in Strathcarron for end of life, and we cannot thank the staff enough for the care and dignity they showed her during her last few weeks. Our family then lost our cousin (Jane Dow) and Uncle (Mark Ritchie) both to cancer within 24hrs of each other on 27th and 28th May 2018. Jane had benefitted from the day care services the hospice provides - as well as the care in the community services before her final days in the hospice. Our Uncle Mark also benefited from care in the community services before his final days in the hospice. We know how much all the families appreciated the support they provided in difficult times.

This year has not been great for the family, but we are grateful that the services of Strathcarron were there to make the difficult times easier. So my brother Graham and I have decided to have an adventure and trek up Kilimanjaro in September 2019. Whilst this will be a challenge, it is one that will enable us to recognise the work the staff do and do something positive. We hope that we can get your support in helping us reach the fundraising target and create positive memories for our Mum, Cousin and Uncle.

Many thanks Graham, Tom and our families. Tom Chambers
