Anna Michels

Those of you who have known me for while will know that my running technique as a child was questionable/hilariously funny to say the least. After an injury in my knee, an x-ray and lots of physiotherapy later, it was discovered that I had a 'funny hip' and a 3cm difference between my legs. I was told to stick to swimming and other 'low impact sports'.

That would have been all well and good, but with a last name 'Michels', I was destined to get itchy feet for running. So here I am.

On the 28th April 2019 I hope to finish my first ever half marathon. I'm by no means a speedy gonzales, and I'm definitely not a pretty sight - but this is for a really great cause.

Strathcarron Hospice have been such a huge part of my life; whether it be the nurses who came to look after my dad, the Seasons group that helped us after dad passed away, or the magical concert opportunities at their annual choir concert in the Albert Halls in Stirling. The hospice is very close to my heart and I would be so grateful for any donations to the hospice in aid of the wonderful work they do there.

All my love
Anna and her wobbly knees x
