Ashleigh Smith I first came across Strathcarron hospice when I was in primary school. As I had done some fundraising work in the school I was picked to go and visit Strathcarron Hospice and meet Princess Anne. I never realised at the time all of the experiences I would have with Strathcarron. I have decided to climb Kilimanjaro to raise money for this amazing place in return for their service to me and my family. Their support has been second to none and there aren’t enough words to say thankyou! This will be the biggest challenge I have ever and will ever do in my life and being able to raise money for this wonderful charity makes me want to do it even more. In order for me to go I have to raise £4150 so any donations at all would be amazing and will help Strathcarron proivide their services to another family in need. My mum is going to organise a 70’s/80’s night and my brother and dad a Scottish/St.Andrews night which everyone is welcome to come along too. I had a bag packing day arranged hoping to bring in a lot of funds also but unfortunately me being me I wasn’t able to do this after being in a car accident the same day and writing my car off. Hopefully you all can help me raise money for this wonderful charity. I will be posting a little blog for everyone to read when I come home too :). As my pop always said to everyone ‘If that lassie puts her mind to suhin, that lassie will dae it’. Thankyou so much in advance!! Ashleigh <3 Ashleigh Smith
