As one of the Fundraisers at Strathcarron Hospice, I see first-hand the endless care, love and support that is provided to local people living with a terminal illness every single day.

The team at the Hospice are truly amazing and they encourage everyone to make the most of the time that they have and to 'make every moment count'. They help people to achieve their goals and to not only die well, but to live well until the end of life.

Strathcarron Hospice is so inspiring and so Adie and I have decided to climb Kilimanjaro in September 2019 with the hope of raising vital funds. The Hospice needs to raise £12,900.00 each and every day of the year to keep its services running, and we know that every penny we raise will make a real difference to the patients and families the Hospice cares for.

This is going to be a massive challenge - certainly not a holiday - with us trekking for 5-8 hours per day for 7 consecutive days. We will be away for 11 days in total and throughout this time will be staying in tents with no access to running water and electricity. We will battle with fatigue, blisters, altitude sickness and extreme temperatures. As I said, THIS IS NOT A HOLIDAY! It will, however, be an amazing challenge that will raise vital funds to help local people to receive the best possible end-of-life care and support.

Please dip deep and support us if you can. Thank you.
