I'm running the half marathon on Sunday 2nd October in memory of my very special friend Liz Curtis and raising money for Strathcarron hospice. Fresh out of school, aged 18 and on my very first day of my college placement I met Liz at Ballikinrain. She became my placement supervisor, then my boss but was always my mentor and special friend. If you knew her then you couldn't not love her, one of those people who just brightened your day and genuinely wanted to see you succeed and be happy. I think of her every day and I'm so thankful for her friendship, guidance and influence and hope I do her proud when I get to the finish line. Strathcarron were an incredible support to her and her family over the years and the hospice (like many now) rely heavily on fundraising. I know right now for everyone money is tight and so I understand if you can't but if you can spare a few pounds then know it'll be for a really worthwhile cause & will be really appreciated by me and Liz's family x Fiona Carmichael
