Stuart Cassells Stuart Cassells and Nicola Thomson work together for The Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky and have come together to raise some money for an incredible charity that helps so many people. The Macallan will double match every £1 we raise. So £1 donated is £3 to Strathcarron Hospice.

Stuart Cassells -
I can’t quite believe I’m turning 40 this year. Life is short and sometimes it’s even shorter for some people. I wanted to do something to give back and mark my birthday. I’ve only done one marathon, The New York marathon and whilst I was running at a slow pace, I loved the experience - so I thought it would be nice to do the Edinburgh Marathon.
I’m also going to have a Big Birthday Ball on the evening of the 24th May at the Inchyra Grange Hotel.

Nicola Thomson -
When does a hobby become a way of life?!
As I set out on my 10th Edinburgh Marathon, my 37th marathon in total (in hindsight, would knitting have been a more sensible hobby to take up?), I wanted to mark it in a way that felt important to me, and to my family. The kindness shown, and care given, by Hospice staff the world over, transforms the saddest of times into a time of great privilege, caring for loved ones through their final weeks and days. As I approach my 1000th mile of marathon running, don’t worry, I’m not asking you to join me pounding the streets, but I would love you to donate, to help Stuart and I, to help the incredible staff, at Strathcarron Hospice!
Thank you, Nicola x
