When her terminal diagnosis was given, Strathcarron took over her palliative care initially in Daycare. As Moira deteriorated she was looked after with dignity, care and love at the Hospice and passed peacefully on 27 December 2019.
It was her wish that a 'Party' was organised, getting all her family and friends together. She was an accomplished horsewoman loving everything equestrian, had a great love of dance, was known to be the life and soul of any party or event even though she was teetotal! She would say 'I don't need alcohol to have fun'.
After her passing a group of 'Friends of Moira' have come together to organise the event at The British Legion, Cumbernauld. The Moira Fundraising Party is on Friday 27th March which ironically is Brain Tumor Awareness Day - Wear A Hat. So we'll all be dancing, wearing hats and talking horses on the evening .... Moira's dream night out! Linda Hendley
