Jan was strong, fiercely independent and never wanted to put anyone out. She was very loving and caring and always looked out for family, friends and neighbours. It was a huge step for Jan to give up some of that independence, come into Strathcarron and finally allow others to look after her. After a few days at the hospice, and just a couple of weeks before she passed, Jan posted on facebook: 'I cannot praise the staff highly enough, they can't do enough for you. It is like a 5 star hotel'. Coming from someone who didn't give praise lightly, this speaks volumes! The care and attention given to Jan and her family, from all members of staff and volunteers, was truly outstanding. Andy, Karin and Lyndsey will be forever thankful for this, and any donations that allow the hospice to continue this fantastic work for other families, will be most gratefully received. Thank you x
