Support us As an individual Make a Will Request more information Making a Will is something many of us overlook or don’t get round to organising. We lead busy lives and it can be difficult to find the time to sit down and think about our plans and wishes for the future. This October, take the time to write or update your Will and, at the same time, you can support Strathcarron Hospice. We’ve teamed up with a number of local solicitors and estate planners who will write or update your Will in return for a donation to Strathcarron Hospice. We suggest a donation of £120 for a single will, which can pay for 5 hours of nursing care here at the Hospice. Why should I make a Will? Having a Will in place gives you and those you love, peace of mind that your wishes will be met after your death. It can also help to reduce stress and cost for your family if you already have these decisions in place. Furthermore, you can use your Will to ensure your values live on by making a gift to charity after you've provided for your family and loved ones. When should I make a Will? You can make a Will at any age or stage of life. Having a Will allows you to decide what happens to your money, property and possessions after your death; we believe this is the ideal time for you to write our update your Will as you can have it professionally written whilst supporting Strathcarron Hospice. If I take part in Make a Will month, do I need to leave a gift in my Will to Strathcarron Hospice? There is no requirement for you to leave a gift in your Will to Strathcarron Hospice if you take part in our Make a Will month. If you do choose to leave a gift, you can be assured it will be treated with respect and help us care for people living with a life-limiting condition when they need us most.
