Many of you will have Christmas traditions carried forward over many generations.
Sometimes there is comfort to be found in new family traditions introduced to celebrate the life of someone no longer taking their place around the table.
Linda celebrated what would be her last Christmas a year ago today and her important tradition of sitting around the table, enjoying dinner with her sons and husband was very important to her. Due to her declining health this was a huge challenge but with the loving support of our nursing team, she made it along to the dining room to spend precious moments with her family.
Today, in Linda's loving memory, all Hospice services are being paid for by her family and friends who have fundraised tirelessly to achieve this.
If there is an empty chair at your table this year please remember you are not alone in your grief and find comfort in your traditions, both old and new.
