Throughout the month of February, we hold our annual Snowdrop Appeal here at Strathcarron Hospice.

Our small Fundraising team is responsible for ensuring the charity has the required £12,900 every day to cover the running costs which is why they organise many events and appeals over the year. And of course, whilst they are in the background organising everything, the success of everything is down to the volunteers manning the collections and local supporters who give so generously.

The Snowdrop is seen as a sign of renewal and hope and this is the reason it is our adopted symbol for our pin badges. If you would like to help terminally ill people who need our care then please involve yourself with this appeal. A couple of hours collecting for the pin badges can easily cover the cost of two hour’s specialist nursing care. If you’re not able to collect but could take a box of pin badges to your workplace, club, school or even local shops you’re known at we’d love to hear from you, please contact the Fundraising team on 01324 826222 or [email protected]

Look out for our Snowdrop pin badges, which are available in many shops and businesses across the local area. Our team of Snowdrop volunteers will also be in various locations collecting in February.

Please wear your Snowdrop to show your support for Strathcarron Hospice or you may like to donate to our virtual Snowdrop garden and dedicate a Snowdrop, leaving a message in memory or to celebrate someone special.
