In December 2020, with restrictions tightened and lockdowns in place, we launched our Strathcarron Santa Dash in the hope that some of Santa’s finest helpers could help to raise enough funds to pay for Christmas Day at Strathcarron.

We were absolutely blown away by the response and the support we received from across the community. Not only did Santa’s helpers pay for Christmas Day, they raised more than £60,000 – the equivalent of four days of care across all our services.

Christmas Day is very special at Strathcarron, we know that for many of our patients this will be their last Christmas with their family and we help them to make special memories. We decorate our grounds with Christmas lights and trees, the ward is full of decorations and most importantly Christmas cheer.

Santa always visits on Christmas along with his band of merry helpers (staff suitably dressed) and the Strathcarron kitchen team provide Christmas fare in a home from home style for everyone in the building.

We need 111 more helpers to walk or run 2.5 or 5km and raise £100 on the weekend of 4th and 5th December. We’ll provide you with your own Santa or Elf suit, you pick the route and ask your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your amazing efforts. Please sign up and help to bring festive cheer, specialist care and lots of love to local people who need us this Christmas:
