Our vision

We want to help people to live with their illness and make the most of the time they have. We want to understand what is important to them and enable them to achieve their goals. With good symptom control and support we can enable people to think about and talk about the things that matter most, appreciate the significance of their life and help them to make the most of whatever time they have left.

What We Do

We provide specialist Hospice care and expert end of life care for the people of Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth. We care for people with illnesses that cannot be cured including cancer, lung, heart or kidney failure and a range of non-malignant and neurological diseases.

We are also actively involved in  research and education in palliative care and we promote and influence the delivery of palliative care locally and beyond.

We are a charity

All our services are free and are provided when and where they are needed- in patients’ own homes, in hospitals and care homes and in our Hospice at Denny. We are passionate about providing high quality services, including: Inpatient Care; Live Your Life; Clinical Nurse Specialists; Hospice@Home; Bereavement and Pastoral Care and Lymphoedema. We are proud of the professionalism and expertise of our staff and their motivation to put each patient and family at the heart of everything we do.

Our Strategy

This strategy is our plan to provide, change and develop our Hospice services over the next five years. We have evolved and adapted most of our activities during the pandemic to ensure we were still there for those that needed us.

Our new “normal” will be shaped by the experience of the last two years and we have and will redesign services, building on our strengths and the experiences of working together to support the best possible palliative and end of life care services for the benefit of the people we serve.
