How To Find Us Please be assured that the wellbeing of all our patients, hospice visitors, volunteers and staff is our top priority and we are taking all necessary precautions to keep our services open for the people who need us most. We would like to reassure you that Strathcarron Hospice will continue to follow the latest Covid guidelines to keep everyone safe and make sure that we can continue to deliver our most vital services. Covid-19 update: Visitor guidelines (updated 29 September 2022) We are pleased to advise you of our current visiting arrangements at Strathcarron Hospice. These are in line with national guidance for hospice and healthcare settings. Summary of visiting arrangements There is now no need to take a lateral flow test before you visit the Hospice. However, please do not visit if you feel unwell or have Covid symptoms. Reception area - Tea/coffee (self-service) available for visitors – in limited numbers and in family groups Café open to In-Patient Unit visitors 1.30 – 6pm only (In family groups). Rotary Room in In-Patient Unit open. One family at a time. Will I be able to use the facilities in the hospice? Our cafeteria and communal areas are now open to the public. We do ask that a maximum of two people visit at any one time. Current guidelines advise there are no limits to the number of people or visits per day (hours 8.30am - 1pm, 2pm - 9pm). Please make an appointment in advance of all visits. Call 01324 826222. This helps us to ensure adequate physical distancing. All visits can be be up to 1hr, please be mindful that patients need time to rest. We ask all visitors to take a Lateral Flow Test before each visit and to wear a surgical face mask when in the Hospice. Face masks are available at Reception. Hugging and hand holding of loved ones are encouraged but with care, with the use of hand sanitiser. We do ask visitors to remain sensible to help protect themselves, their loved ones and our staff. Coming by car There is a car park at the front of the Hospice for patients and visitors to use. If you are coming to the Hospice for work, a meeting, training course or event, there is some parking space at the back of the Hospice although during the working week this can get busy. Coming by public transport Bus: First Bus 8 Fankerton bus stops at the end of the Road. The time table can be found on their website.
