Coronavirus (COVID-19) Shop Update

Information for our customers and donors

Phased re-opening of our shops from 8th July.

Following government guidelines, we have now opened five of our shops.

We are looking forward to welcoming all our customers back in store to help us raise vital funds to support our Hospice.  We are delighted to announce the following shops are open for business:

  • Falkirk Furniture Shop, Monday to Saturday from 9 - 5pm and Sunday 11 - 4pm
  • Stenhousemuir Shop, Monday to Saturday from 9 - 4.45pm and Sunday 11 - 4pm
  • Alloa Shop, Monday to Saturday from 10 - 4pm
  • Bridge of Allan, Monday to Saturday from 9 - 5pm and Sunday 11 - 4pm
  • Kilsyth Shop, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 10 - 4pm and Wednesday 10 - 1pm

Safety is our biggest priority for our staff, volunteers, donors and customers, therefore we are currently only accepting donations of Furniture in our Falkirk Furniture shop, this can now also be arranged on-line.

All our other shops are only accepting clothes and bric-a-brack, this will be received over a period of two days per week. In order to ensure we adhere to government guidelines we have restricted the number of bags and boxes each customer can donate to each store at one time. Please contact your local store to confirm.

We thank you for your co-operation and are looking forward to welcoming our much valued supporters in store and will continue to work to re-open more of our shops as and when we can.

Did you know that Strathcarron Hospice can sell items that you donate on Ebay.

Collectables, furniture, vintage clothing etc. are now sold worldwide where we have a customer base of more than 19 million people!

If you would like your items sold through ebay to generate funds for the hospice, please contact our Ebay Co-ordinator on 01324 638307 or at [email protected]

our ebay items can be found at

We take pride in our Hospice Shops, which offer a wide range of new and quality used goods. We also have two book shops in Falkirk Howgate and Cumbernauld Shopping Centre as well as a shop in Bridge of Allan which specialises in selling only vintage goods and a Furniture Shop in Main Street, Bainsford, Falkirk.   We also have a Strathcarron Hospice Shop on eBay where we sell some of the more specialist and unusual items of donated stock which we receive. The Strathcarron Hospice Shops rely on the many donations of pre-owned goods we receive to stock the shops and in turn the Hospice relies on income from the shops to help to provide its services. You can donate goods and any one of our shops and the locations and opening times are detailed below. If you are a UK tax payer, you can also Gift Aid your donation which will enable us to receive a further 25% on the value of any item that we sell – just let the shop know that you are a tax payer and fill out a very short Gift Aid Declaration Form. If you wish to donate furniture and need this to be collected, please call 01324 635 267. Regrettably, we can only up lift items of furniture that are suitable for re-sale as there would be a significant cost to us if we had to take these items to a refuse dump.

What You Can Donate

Our shops are really grateful for good quality donations as stated below to help us raise vital funds for the Hospice.

  • Men's, women's and children's clothing.
  • Accessories including shoes, belts handbags and jewellery.
  • Quality homeware - anything from cushions to crockery.
  • Linens.

Unfortunately, there are a few things that we can't sell - damaged or broken toys, children's car seats or booster seats, child cot and pram mattresses.
