The post holder will fully contribute to the management, development, and implementation of a comprehensive financial team, leading on budgeting, financial reporting, and driving efficiencies that support the organisation’s long‑term sustainability. About You You will bring strong financial expertise combined with a values-driven approach to your work, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and compassion in all that you do. Professional or part‑qualified accounting qualification Experience working in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping Strong working knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and reporting systems Experience using and implementing financial reporting systems Excellent PC skills, especially Microsoft Office and financial reporting tools Ability to communicate financial information clearly to colleagues and managers Understanding of Gift Aid requirements Proven ability to manage your own workload and adapt to changing priorities Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, both independently and as part of a team Experience supervising or line‑managing staff, with the ability to support, develop, and motivate others Flexible, proactive approach with a commitment to accountability, performance, and continuous improvement The post is subject to a Level 2 check by Disclosure Scotland. We are situated in Central Scotland with easy access to Glasgow and Edinburgh as well as many beautiful rural areas and the Trossachs National park. We are the sole provider of community, in-patient and hospital specialist medical palliative care services in our catchment area and have an established reputation as an independent Hospice with excellence in clinical practice, research and education. We also champion services like Hospice @ Home and an innovative Community Development Team. Our team of Consultants and Specialty Doctors work across the Hospice In-patient Unit, communities and the Hospital palliative care team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. As well as being a key member of our comprehensive multi-professional team, the post holder will also contribute to delivering our Hospice strategy and driving forward service developments, training, quality improvement and research programmes.
