3 years ago in April a very close family friend of ours sadly passed away after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. In a tragically short space of time the lives of those close to us were drastically changed. Whilst this was all happening we were still living with Covid and were unable to support Sean’s family and be with them in all the ways we wished we could have. After being unable to help/support Sean and his family in the ways I wish I could, I knew I wanted to do something. Strathcarron Hospice provided such amazing and supportive care whilst Sean stayed there caring for him, his wife Sarah and their son Ciaran. I have decided to run the EMF Half Marathon and raise money for Strathcarron Hospice as a way to thank them for everything they did for the people I care about and to help them continue supporting families going through such terrible times.
