A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend that always had a warm welcome to her home in Balfron. In her younger years she always made sure the men on the farm at Woodend were well fed, 10’o’clock tea was a must, and who can forget that she was the inventor of the Tunnocks caramel log! She loved hosting and entertaining her grandchildren, be that for a long stay, an evening of find the thimble and a highlight of the year was a trip to the panto, or cinema for all of the grandchildren, and I think the parents enjoyed it too! In spite of her years, Betty would always want to get the kettle on, make some fresh warm pancakes and entertain. Betty, or GG, was always well turned out and loved spending time with her family and friends. At home she was never far from the phone and enjoyed nothing more than a good catch up of an evening on all the latest news. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
