Our dear Mum and Gran, Mary, was full of life, whether traveling the world with us or with our late dad, walking with The Ramblers, bowling, or simply tending to her beautiful garden with love and care. She first came to Strathcarron as an out-patient, where she discovered in her 80th year that she was an artist! She became an in-patient for the last two months of her life, when she received the kind of loving care and attention which kept her enjoying and valuing life even in her final days. We were so grateful that our Mum was cherished by everyone at Strathcarron, who kept her laughing and who made her final days as peaceful as possible. In very challenging times, the whole staff wrapped their arms around our Mum and also around us as a family. Our Mum was loved by all our family and by her many dear friends and so many have told us how much she will be missed. Due to Coronavirus restrictions, many are unable to express their feelings in person, so, we would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers to the wonderful Strathcarron Hospice, to show our appreciation and to allow them to continue helping others facing such difficult times.
