Some people reckon this week is the gloomiest of the year as the 2nd Monday in January is widely recognised as a little 'blue'.

If you are looking to increase your wellbeing and purpose during 2022, Strathcarron Hospice has just the right opportunity for you. Volunteering can help you gain confidence by giving you the chance to try something new and build a real sense of achievement.

We understand the many time pressures people have on them and you may think you cannot commit to something else. But what if we told you the difference you can make giving a couple of hours of your time on an ad-hoc basis? Yes really, 2 hours of your time can make a significant impact for someone who is living with, or dying from, a terminal illness. If you're happy to take part in a fundraising collection, on average, 2 hours of your time equals 6 hours of nursing care. Just imagine the pride you will feel knowing the difference you are making for families around the area who have a loved one in need of expert palliative care. More people than ever before wish to remain in their own homes to die and you can help make this dying wish a reality.

If you would like to be a part of something really special for a few hours this year please contact Marion Blaney on 01324 826222 or visit https://www.strathcarronhospice.net/forms/volunteer-fundraising-registration-form to register your interest.

Please help us provide care, love and support for those who need us most at a time and place of their choice.
