From everyone here at Strathcarron Hospice we wish everyone a happy Easter Holiday break.

Time is marching on and April represents the start of a new financial year for many; the clock is re-set back to the beginning and, in terms of fundraising at the Hospice this means we work towards a new annual income budget, set in line with the costs of providing specialist palliative care for patients and support for families. In an ideal world we would love to be in a position of reaching each and every one of the people who need us and, currently, we rely on over £5million pounds of financial support from people just like you to achieve this.

Next week it will be 41 years since we opened our doors, arms and hearts for your community and many people amongst you will have been touched by the work we do. We understand this is a financially difficult period for many and we ask for your support in any small way possible.

It's not too late to sign up for a fundraising pack for our Big Birthday Tea to have fun, whilst raising a little pot of money to support our nurses work - £20 can pay for an hour of nursing care in the home of someone who is dying and in the last two weeks of life.

You can be as creative as you like - a Mad Hatters Tea Party, Gin and Jammies at home or have a bake-off style competition with friends. To sign up now visit Big Birthday Tea Party | Strathcarron Hospice or call the team on 01324 826222 for your free fundraising pack with even more ideas.

Celebrate 41 years of care with a Big Birthday Tea!
