1981 was an innovative year for many reasons.

If you’re of a certain age you might remember your Post It Note, the first mention of the World Internet and the first Space Shuttle Mission. And you might even remember the opening of Strathcarron Hospice on Tuesday 21st April 1981. This was a monumental moment for the founders and, indeed local people.

During the last 40 years the Strathcarron team has cared for great grandparents, grandparents, parents and other loved ones, with specialist compassionate care. We have been privileged enough to provide this care thanks to the generosity of local people who are giving of their time and money.

In 2020 it was necessary to cancel all traditional fundraising activities and, unfortunately, we are now entering a 2nd year of uncertainty. At the moment we are relying on people to fundraise in any way they can and one option, is to take part in our 40th Tea Party. This can be done virtually and we have a whole host of materials to help you. You can also join in on 24th April where we will have an afternoon of live entertainment. To sign up and for further information please just head over to Big Virtual Birthday Tea | Strathcarron Hospice.

Once you register you will be sent a pack with everything you need.

More than ever we are relying on your support so we can continue what we’ve been doing since 1981.

Thank you.
