Strathcarron Hospice is a member of the @DYWScot Scottish Government’s Young Person’s Guarantee. We are committed to building a skilled workforce for now and in the future. The benefits of working with inspiring young people are mutual, as there is strength in gaining new ideas and insight from a generationally diverse team. Their skills, enthusiasm, and creativity have been inspiring. The partnership between Larbert High School teachers & pupils and Strathcarron Hospice is truly special. One pupil idea in the classroom led to the delivery of a project focused on enhancing creativity skills, supporting the circular economy, and encouraging intergenerational community connections.

The students of Larbert High School worked hard to create a Fashion Show, by partnering with Strathcarron Hospice, they transformed preloved clothing that generous supporters have donated into the charity shops, into amazing statement pieces. The video captures one of the many projects that are being delivered as part of this partnership, supporting the Young Person's Guarantee and providing amazing benefits for all involved.  Have a watch and be inspired: INSPIRATIONAL FASHION - DYW - Forth Valley (dywforthvalley.com).The joy of shopping in one of our local charity shops is that Strathcarron Hospice benefits from every penny spent. Every penny raised across all our charity shops help fund the £14,632 daily cost of specialist end of life care and services your local Hospice provides to individuals and their families across its communities.
