It's World Book Day on Thursday, 4th March.

Books have the unique ability to entertain and to teach and World Book Day celebrates everything to do with books and reading, largely aimed at children to encourage their love of reading.

Storytelling is part of our heritage and, of course, before books became widely available, stories would be passed through the generations. During the month of March, we will be holding a storytelling session every Tuesday afternoon at 2pm. You will be in the company of a wonderful volunteer who will sharing tales of days gone by, told with great humour and insight.

Whilst we are still all living with lockdown restrictions listening to these uplifting memories is a welcome distraction for an hour is so and everyone is welcome to come along. All you need is access to Zoom which certainly seems to something we’re all becoming familiar with and you can access this on a laptop, tablet or smartphone.

You are welcome to join for either one or all of these informal and relaxed sessions. Please email [email protected] for further information or to request access to the Zoom link.
