You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing consultant input for patients living in the areas of Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth. You will manage patients in their homes, on the inpatient unit and on occasion support the hospital palliative care team at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. Together with your four consultant colleagues you will strengthen connections with other local health care providers and develop the services required for this fast changing health care environment. This role includes working various shifts including nights and weekends. We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and caring individuals to enhance our dynamic nursing team. It is expected that you will have an understanding of palliative care and an awareness of the services of Strathcarron Hospice. The successful candidate will have well developed communication and interpersonal skills. Maintaining accurate and pertinent records is essential. They will be confident in their ability to support patients and/or relatives to cope with the effects of progressive disease. It is expected that you have the ability to multi task and the flexibility to respond readily to the demands of the role. Previous Nursing experience and basic computer skills are desirable.
