Terms of Office: Trustees are appointed for a 4-year term of office, with renewal for a further 4-year term to a maximum of 8 years. Start Date: New Council members are co-opted to Council before being formally elected to Council of Management at the Annual General Meeting. In this role you will support the Communications Manager to develop communications and branding across all of the Hospice and our Subsidiaries. It is located in the Scottish Central Belt, serving a population of nearly 400,000 in both urban and rural settings across NHS Forth Valley and the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth areas of NHS North Lanarkshire. We have an exciting new position for a Communications Officer at Strathcarron Hospice. In this role you will support the Communications Manager to develop communications and branding across all of the Hospice and our Subsidiaries. You will be an enthusiastic, team player with experience of leading and supporting successful communications using a mix of traditional and digital marketing and PR activities. You will have a strong experience in communications with the ability to raise the profile of the Hospice and improve the public’s understanding of what we do. Essentially for this role you will require strong planning and organisational skills, including the ability to work under own your initiative and balance competing demands. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can confidently engage with range of people, including a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
