This May, I will be attempting my first 26.2 mile marathon at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2026 to raise vital funds for Strathcarron Hospice, a charity very close to my heart.

Strathcarron Hospice is a local charity which provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care and support for people with a life-limiting illness or condition including MND, Heart failure, Dementia, Alzheimer’s and Cancer - a horrible, unforgiving illness which affects so many families, including my own.

My Paw paw, Alexander Faichney, was cared for at Strathcarron and my family were able to witness first hand the incredible help and support the doctors, nurses and staff provide in treating patients and their families with such kindness, dignity and compassion.

I would like to give something back and raise funds for the charity which requires around £19,452 every single day to keep their vital services running.
