I deliver and collect the money cans that are in various businesses in the Stirling area. I am also a volunteer driver at the weekends taking samples and prescriptions to and from Forth Valley Hospital.

I have been volunteering for about 20 years delivering cans and I think it is about two years since they started the weekend drivers.

There are no set duties I normally get a call from Strathcarron to collect the full cans or to deliver to a new fundraiser. The weekend driver duty is similar using a WhatsApp group.

My dad was a volunteer driver and can collector for many years and he encouraged me to volunteer.

What I enjoy most about volunteering is that it gives me the opportunity to meet fundraisers and also visit the Hospice where without fail the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.

I appreciate how much it costs to run Strathcarron and by collecting cans and driving at the weekend it goes some way to reducing expenditure.
