We were delighted to meet John Connor and Lyndsay Urquhart from AkzoNobel this week to receive a grant from their True Colours Community Fund.

John Connor, AkzoNobel Sales Manager hands over cheque for £1000 to Claire Kennedy, Corporate Fundraiser.

The grant of £1,000 will help to cover the additional PPE costs the Hospice incurs in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our PPE needs including masks, gloves and aprons costs £48 per nurse, per shift, in the current climate.

The True Colours Community Fund was set up to provide a further helping hand for the charities, community groups and youth organisations that AkzoNobel colleagues already dedicate their free time to helping out and we were delighted to be the recipient of a second grant this year.

Our thanks to Strathcarron supporter and AkzoNobel Sales Manager, John for nominating Strathcarron Hospice for this grant. It will make a crucial difference to these additional costs we face when fundraising remains very challenging.
