Our Finance Fundraising Assistant Margaret is leaving us for pastures new.

She has had a unique insight into the running of all services of the Hospice during her time having worked on both the ward and in administrative side of the organisation.

Margaret said: “My 13 and a half years have gone in a flash, working in two departments, volunteering, covering ad-hoc duties during COVID time and being a befriender has been phenomenal.

“I have met the most amazing people in this chapter of my book. Everyone from staff members, volunteers and supporters have been truly amazing to work along beside over the years, and I'll never forget a face or voice!

“As I have always loved listening and being around people, the Hospice has helped me grow, and I feel as if I have played a small part of helping make a difference so thank you all.”

We are now recruiting for a Senior Finance Assistant within our Fundraising Team.

If you are someone who loves finance, spreadsheets and databases, with a passion for balancing the books, knowing your skills will ultimately have an impact on the lives of others we would love to hear from you!

Being part of a successful and supportive team, you will be responsible for accurately processing income to reach our bank account, working closely with colleagues in the Finance and IT Teams.

It's a complex role well suited to someone who thrives on working to deadlines, is a natural problem solver with a critical eye, and has a thirst for knowledge around process and procedure.
