We were delighted to welcome some community group representatives to the Hospice today to have a discussion around how those bereaved in our local areas can be supported.

Our groups shared plans and ideas for ‘To Absent Friends’ week which takes place 1-7 November, which included holding creative writing opportunities to share loss stories, creating a memorial garden and collage memories artwork.

‘To Absent Friends’ is an opportunity to remember, to tell stories, to celebrate and to reminisce about people we love who have died.

It is an opportunity to revive lost traditions and create new ones.
