On this day, Friday 1st January 2021, all our services in the Hospice and out in the community are being paid for by Max the Piper.

A piper in the Dollar Academy Juvenile Pipe Band, the current world champions, Max piped his way through 2020 raising more than £12,900 for Strathcarron Hospice.

Initially starting his challenge by piping for 100 nights during lockdown, Max was soon performing and providing memorable moments to local people to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions in the local community as well as busking with all donations generously coming to Strathcarron Hospice.

Our thanks to Max and everyone who has supported his incredible efforts throughout 2020. We are delighted you have been able to pipe us into 2021 and pay for the 1st day of our 40th year of providing specialist palliative care in Forth Valley, Cumbernauld & Kilsyth.

Our thanks also to Forth Valley College who filmed and interviewed Max at Stirling Castle.

Of course, you can still support his incredible efforts on his fundraising page.

Here at Strathcarron, all our care is provided free of charge. We need to raise £12,900 every day to keep these services running in the Hospice and out in the community.
