HOSPICE LADIES LUNCH HITS THE HIGH NOTE
We're incredibly grateful to all of the attendees, sponsors and businesses of our recent Ladies Lunch. An amazing £37,608 was raised last week at the annual fundraising event.
Hosted by Alan and Shaz from Central FM with entertainment from broadcaster and singer Michelle McManus, 300 of our local women from across Forth Valley and North Lanarkshire enjoyed  a 2 course lunch and danced the afternoon away at the Double Tree Westerwood Hotel.
Sponsored by FES Limited and Drummond Laurie Chartered Accountants, we are so thankful for their generous support, every penny of the guest’s ticket money will go towards patient care.

Fundraising Manager, Jackie Johnston, said: “We would like to say a huge thanks to everyone for supporting this event which was a brilliant afternoon of fun, music, food and laughter.

“This Ladies Lunch has been our most successful yet with a record amount raised at the event – a testament to the generosity and kindness of our supporters.

“The Hospice has to raise £16,637 daily to provide the specialist end of life care and services to individuals and their families across our communities, by taking part in events like these you are a key part in helping patients and families in need.”

Strathcarron Hospice provides essential services for patients with life-limiting conditions (including end-of-life care) for patients living in Forth Valley and Cumbernauld and Kilsyth in North Lanarkshire.

In 2022-23 the Hospice provided care for 323 patients in our 24 patient bedded unit, supported 357 Hospice at Home patients including 3286 visits, carried out 6435 Community Nurse Specialists visits to 1109 new patients and made 8142 clinical calls.
We would also like to send a heartfelt thanks to number of other local businesses contributing to the success of this event.
