Education and Training

As well as offering specialist palliative training we also offer a range of tailor made courses for organisations.  Examples of tailor made courses are:

  • Enhancing end of life care in care homes
  • Patient centred goal setting in palliative care
  • Practical interventions for people with breathlessness
  • Advance care planning

SAGE & THYME Communication Workshop

SAGE & THYME Communication Workshop

A new communication model for care staff in health and social care sectors including those working in voluntary or private care organisation. The model is designed to be used as a guide to help care workers recognise and respond to people’s emotional concerns in a way that allows them to explore their own solutions and sources of support to manage their distress.     She decided to do a fundraiser for Strathcarron Hospice, due to the amazing work they do locally.

  • Running for granny Mogs

    Myself and Emma’s family are doing a 5K run to raise money for strathcarron hospice. Emma sadly lost her gran back in July and the staff in strathcarrron looked after her in her final days and were amazing. Any money raised will help them continue the great work they do.

  • Auxiliary Nurse

    Applications are invited for the position's of Auxiliary Nurse to join the nursing team within the In-Patient Unit where you will contribute to the delivery of specialist palliative care services within Strathcarron Hospice.

    Join in our 42nd Birthday celebrations with 103.1 Central FM & Candied Ice Cream Parlour by hosting your own Big Birthday Tea Party on or around Friday 28th April.
