7 October: Covid-19 and the delivery of rehabilitation in specialist palliative care: Impact, solutions and opportunities. Led by Matthew Maddocks 7 October 7pm-8:15pm. Matthew Maddocks will reflect on non-drug breathlessness management techniques and rehabilitation for those with COVID-19 and will reflect on the experiences of those delivering rehabilitation during the pandemic. Dr Matthew Maddocks is a physiotherapist and Reader in Health Services Research based at the Cicely Saunders Institute of Palliative Care, Policy & Rehabilitation, King’s College London. He completed a PhD on exercise in cancer cachexia in 2010 and has since held National Institute of Health Research post-doctoral, clinical trials and career development fellowships. His research interests span palliative care, rehabilitation, and age-related syndromes.
