Kevin and Linda's Story We took on an incredible challenge to cycle the Camino del Norte from San Sebastián to Oviedo, heading into the mountains of Asturias on the Camino Primitivo in Spain. We wanted to do this physically and mentally demanding challenge to raise money for the Hospice.Strathcarron Hospice has provided tremendous support to several of our close friends at their time of greatest need. More recently our friend, Pat. The Hospice offered fantastic support to Pat and her family in those last challenging days. Pat had the biggest of hearts…really kind and optimistic. On previous Caminos, both of which were undertaken in memory of special friends, we have always wanted to mark the high point of the route in a special way. I carried an overview of the day’s trail in my bar bag map case, and today included a photo of Pat with the map. Pat was always a fantastic supporter of our crazy journeys and we missed her regular comments on this trip, but she was in our thoughts.
