The corporate event, which will take place on the evening of Friday 6 November in the newly renovated Apex Dunblane Hydro Hotel, will be hosted by the renowned TV presenter and Deacon Blue drummer. Attendees will enjoy a sparkling welcome drink reception, exquisite three-course dinner and first-class live entertainment from local power-house band VH5 in stunning surroundings. Guests will also have the chance to take part in a special raffle and auction, with a selection of extraordinary prizes to be won. Strathcarron – which is Scotland’s largest independent Hospice – opened on 21 April 1981 in a converted house in Fankerton, near Denny, serving the Forth Valley, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth areas. Over the years the Hospice has expanded to include a purpose built 24 bedded Inpatient unit and supports and cares for around 1400 patients a year and their loved ones. Over 80% of the care is carried out beyond the Hospice building within local communities, in people’s homes and wherever they require Hospice support. The charity needs £19,452 a day to run their vital palliative and end of life services. Sapphire Ball host Dougie Vipond said: “I am very excited to be hosting the Strathcarron Hospice Sapphire Ball for what will be an incredible evening of fundraising and fun for this special cause. “As someone who lives within Strathcarron’s community, I am keenly aware of the vital work they do and how important their services are to those they support. Let’s get together, raise as much as we can and Celebrate 45 years of exceptional Hospice care.” Dougie Vipond VH5 Claire Kennedy said: “2026 has been a year of celebrations for us, marking 45 years within the communities we serve, caring for people and their loved ones. We couldn't have done this without the generous support of local businesses, who continue to help us fund our vital services. “Everything we do in our community, is for our community, and with our community, to enable people to live and die well. We want to ensure we will be able to provide hospice care and support for a further 45 years, and for the generations to come. “We can’t wait to welcome you to what promises to be an unforgettable night in support of Strathcarron Hospice, continuing to make every moment count.” For table reservations and enquiries please contact [email protected] Tables of 10 cost £1250.
