Volunteer roles

There are a variety of volunteer roles (*) including but not limited to:

  • administration support
  • reception
  • kitchen
  • servery
  • helping in a Hospice shop
  • gardening
  • maintenance
  • arts/crafts
  • collecting and replacing collection tins from businesses supporting the Hospice
  • counselling
  • compassionate neighbour schemes in the local community
  • one-off events throughout the year:
    • Raffles
    • Light Up a Life
    • Snowdrop Appeal
    • Supermarket bag packing
    • Events Marshalls

* Certain roles within the Hospice are subject to a Disclosure Scotland Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check.  Prior to the meeting with the Volunteer Service Co-Ordinator, volunteers will be notified of the documents required where a role is subject to a PVG check.
